Anxiety in teenagers isn’t just “nerves” or “stress”—it’s a clinical condition that affects brain development, academic performance, social relationships, and emotional well-being. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common mental health conditions affecting adolescents, yet many teens with anxiety struggle for years before receiving treatment. Our outpatient mental health treatment meets teens with anxiety where they are, providing intensive therapy 2-3 times per week (or more with our Intensive Outpatient Program for teens) while your teen continues attending school and living at home.
Unlike general counseling, outpatient mental health treatment for teens with anxiety uses specialized, age-appropriate approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and DBT skills training—all proven effective for helping teens with anxiety manage symptoms and build resilience.
