However, in a statement, Speedy explained that they would not have provided people with whipped cream if they had known the ultimate purpose.
Overall, Nazir Afzal (former North West of England Chief Crown Prosecutor) confirmed that the English laws were not enough to stop the sale of this drug.

After being shown undercover footage, Mr. Afzal was deeply disturbed by the reality of this situation, ultimately describing nitrous oxide as “death in a box.” In some cases, people have either sustained severe injuries or died after consuming this potentially deadly gas. According to reports, nitrous oxide is the second most popular recreational drug besides marijuana (coming in first place) in England and Wales.
