Just when you think people have played around with alcohol as much as they could, a recent report has indicated that a big-name brand has developed ice cream treats with a little bit more of a kick than consumers expected. Recently, Häagen-Dazs has recently released a new lineup of alcohol-infused ice cream treats that pay homage (of sorts) to a variety of flavors. Needless to say, teetotalers and recovering alcoholics will not be enjoying these treats whatsoever. So, what does the report have to say about these testy little treats? Let’s take a closer look and find out some more information.

Bailey’s Stout Toffee

Needless to say, even ice cream seems to be a portal for alcohol promotion, as seen with the recent lineup of Häagen-Dazs’ booze-infused flavors, sold under the less-than-obvious title Häagen-Dazs Spirits. Overall, the new collection includes Irish Cream Brownie (infused with Bailey’s liquor), Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, and (for the vegans) Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee.

Low Alcohol-Content

Rum-infused candies and amaretto cherries have always been popular candies in the United States, but many parents (and former alcoholics, for that matter) may have questioned whether these treats can actually get you drunk. Although we have seen cases where vanilla extract and additional types of gourmet ice cream have been strong enough to get people drunk, this new brand does not necessarily pack enough punch to induce intoxication after the first bowl. Nevertheless, we still have to ask ourselves why any child-friendly company would desire to market their products with alcohol brands?

Seeking Treatment for Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism

Alcohol is a nationwide problem that (in all honesty) does not appear to be losing steam, especially when you take a look at this drug’s popularity in bars, restaurants, and (shockingly) amusement parks. Booze has become as much of an American icon as New York hot dogs and football, which is not exactly the best prospect when you consider that millions of people are exposed to this drug on a daily basis. As we have seen, certain applications have now allowed drunk drivers to reroute to avoid police checkpoints, only making the roadways more dangerous for innocent motorists and pedestrians. Take the right step towards preventing alcohol from endangering your health and well-being.

Are you suffering from a severe case of alcohol use disorder? Do you have a friend or a family member who is coping with one of these issues, as well?
