When it comes to iconic American foods, ice cream might be one of the most popular on the public menu. For as long as we can remember, our childhoods (as well as those of our parents and grandparents) pretty much included some moments where we were dripping with this sticky, sweet milk product. Even better, ice cream comes in thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of flavors, depending on which location your visit or which brand you buy. Novelty stores are also becoming more popular, such as the STIL, an ice cream shop that prides itself on adding a classy Southern charm to its tantalizing lineup of flavors. Now, how would you react if we told you some of those flavors happen to contain alcohol? Let’s take a closer look at this shop and find out more about their unique menu.

Add That Southern Charm

After opening in the summer of 2017, the STIL (short for The Sweetest Things in Life) was met with overwhelming success due to a creative brand and a clever message. Based in Boise, Idaho, this shop prides itself on maintain a creative, rustic charm by producing sweet treats with clever names like Phat Mints (chocolate and fresh mint flavoring), Southern porch (classic Southern sweet tea), and Breakfast in Bed (maple and bacon). Overall, this sounds like a pretty awesome menu, right?

If you happen to be recovering from alcohol problems or are a teetotaler, let’s just say you should avoid the honey bourbon. As its name suggests, the ice cream is infused with hard liquor.

Add a Side of Beer

Even more bizarre, the STIL not only offers booze-infused ice cream but also lists alcohol-floats, milkshakes, and glasses of raw alcoholic liquids for its patrons. Ultimately, its philosophy is that people can enjoy booze and ice cream at the same time and in the same place, without worry (unless you are a recovering addict or just don’t like alcohol, that is). Keep in mind that the concentrations of alcohol in the ice cream must match the proportion of rum balls, but, as with any booze-infused food, consumers must be at least 21 years old.

We can bet you never thought you would see this in an ice cream parlor.
