Needless to say, celebrities always have a unique way of putting their spin on a product, don’t they? From Dennis Haysbert promoting Allstate Insurance to Jennifer Aniston promoting Aveeno products, these men and women seem to be lending their unique voices to all aspects of our lives. Bath products, cars, sports events, and detergent – there is nothing they will not willingly promote. So, how about cannabis for a new product? Overall, we are familiar with celebrities putting a spin on their little green plant. (Some good examples include Snoop Dogg and Kristen Bell.) However, rapper Whiz Khalifa is taking this action to a whole new level by teaming up with Supreme Cannabis for the sole purpose of promoting his pot brand in Canada. Let’s take a closer look at this situation and find out more.

Spreading the Love

In a recent press release, rapper Whiz Khalifa announced he would partner with Supreme Cannabis (a marijuana producer based in Ontario) to promote his cannabis brand Khalifa Kush in Canada. As part of the deal, Khalifa Kush Enterprises (KKE) will serve as a consultant to Supreme Cannabis during the development and launch of a product line featuring premium-grade marijuana products. Ultimately, Supreme will promote this lineup in Canada and (with further permission) extend these items into international markets.

In a recent interview, Whiz Khalifa explained that he created the company to share and spread his positive outlook on the drug.

Opening up New Avenues

Khalifa explained that Canada is an ideal place to branch towards, given the fact that it successfully legalized the little green plant on October 17. As he points out, the development of “Kush and Orange Juice” being promoted in the Canadian market is an ideal start, as our neighbor to the north could be an ideal launching pad for an extension into the global market. Likewise, Jim Fowler (president and founder of Supreme Cannabis) confirmed that bot Khalifa and his brand have a strong and respectable reputation that would be excellent additions to the company.
