The Easyway to Stop Smoking is a smoking cessation program developed by Allen Carr in the early 1980s. The first official Easyway outpatient treatment center opened in Wimbledon, England in 1983, and there are now locations available in at least 45 countries. Easyway seminars can also be accessed online and the Easyway method is available in book form as well.

After spending 30 years as a heavy smoker, Allen Carr had made many quitting attempts before discovering the Easyway. As a result, he understood that all smokers are under constant stress from the dilemma created by their nicotine addiction—most smokers wish that they weren’t smokers while at the same time they crave more cigarettes and have trouble imagining a life without cigarettes. Allen Carr believed that the reasons why people smoke, continue to smoke, and even the way in which they experience cravings are all illusions or myths that can be unlearned. Once these myths are exposed, the smoker is left with just the desire to quit, making the process much easier.

The Easyway method has been such a resounding success for people suffering from nicotine addiction that it has been expanded to other types of addiction as well, including alcoholism and gambling addiction.

The supervised detoxification and residential treatment program at Asana Recovery uses a variety of therapy methods to ensure our clients get the treatment they need. Call us at (949) 438-4504 to learn more about our comprehensive alcohol and drug addiction treatment program today.
